Eagle Technology establishes new company in Vietnam
We have experienced tremendous growth at Eagle Technology AS the last couple of years and our next step in our global venture is establishing a new subsidiary in Vietnam. The company will initially focus on providing engineering and documentation services to the parent company’s project and product portfolio, but local fabrication in Vietnam is also planned.
Eagle Technology AS’s head office is located in Halden, where both management, administration, sales, project management and consolidation of logistics are located. In 2019, the company established production in its own factory in Bosnia. The factory has been expanded step by step and by the end of Q2 2023 the factory amounts 9000 square meters and over 100 employees.
Our business concept, which consists of product development, sales and project management in Norway and engineering and fabrication in Bosnia, has proven to be a highly competitive concept both in terms of quality and price. The growth has been formidable, and we are now ready to take the next step in relation to realizing a global platform for the company, says Roy Moberg, CEO of Eagle Technology.
In record time, we have become an attractive supplier and partner for many large Norwegian and international companies, says sales manager Marius Thunæs. An increasing order book combined with contract partners that require local manufacturing in Asia means that the “timing” is perfect for establishing ourselves in Vietnam, says Thunæs.
The formal opening of the office, located in Binh Duong in Vietnam, took place last week and Thunæs himself was present during the opening. Under the local management of Mr. Ngo Van Thanh, we have been lucky and hired many skilled and dedicated employees in the company, which adds significantly more capacity and impact to both the sales work and the project implementation, says Thunæs.
In addition to adding significantly increased capacity to the parent company on the engineering side, the establishment in Vietnam will also be strategically important in relation to increasing our overall production capacity, says COO of Eagle Technology, Johnny Slåttland.
Eagle Technology’s turnover has tripled in less than two years, and we see that there are great opportunities for further growth. We also need manufacturing capacity in the East if we are to continue to grow and satisfy our customers’ demands for quality, price, and local presence, says Johnny Slåttland.
We have many exciting projects underway that require local production in the East. Our Vietnam company will here be an important element in meeting the end customer’s demands for local production, emphasizes Johnny Slåttland.
Our establishment in Vietnam is a natural part of our desire to develop into a global company that combines ownership and management in Norway with a local presence in the markets we want to be represented in, concludes Moberg.
